Gramma's Quilting Cupboard is owned and operated by
Marian and Jerry Whitney who have been living in Parksville for the past six years.

They opened Gramma's because they saw the potential for a quilt shop with a traditional flavour but with fabrics for everyone and every taste.

Marian is the "Gramma." She is the experienced quilter who looks after the store, does all the ordering, and organizes all of the store's "goings on." 

Jerry is the handyman and builder of shelves. He fixes whatever goes wrong, does all of the heavy work, and takes care of all the projects the ladies don’t know how to do or don't have time for. He also loves to chat with the ladies!!!

Gramma's Staff

Lloy is the Granny who has been with us from the start. She is knowledgeable, fun loving, experienced, and loves to quilt. Lloy makes many of the samples that you will see displayed in Gramma's.

Gail is not a Gramma yet, but she does have a “grandpuppy.” She loves to applique and do handwork. Gail is the designer of our Shop Hop Block.

Doreen is also a Gramma. She loves to quilt and is one of our instructors.

Sharon is also a Gramma and she loves to quilt and chat!

Barb does miniature quilting and loves to work with Oriental fabrics and patterns.

Iris is a Gramma too, and loves to do handwork and applique.

Connie is the store’s main instructor and a very experienced quilter who shares her knowledge with everyone. She has been quilting for 18 years, but is not a Gramma yet. Connie  enjoys watching her students gain confidence in their quilting skills. She teaches a wide range of classes from traditional hand quilting to free form landscape design.
